Mattress removal in Camden, NJ

Booking takes about a minute. Pick your items and a pickup day, put the mattress out that morning, and we'll load it and take it away. Most of our Camden pickups are curbside, so there's nothing to wrap and no trip to make.

From there it goes to our local recycling facility, where our team takes it apart by hand. The foam gets baled for carpet padding, the steel springs go to scrap processors, and box-spring wood gets chipped. Here's the whole process if you want to see it.

How it works

  3. We arrive.

Camden and New Jersey mattress disposal rules

Booking with us? You can skip this part. Everything below is for handling it yourself — Camden's rules, the fees and the drop-off options. If we're doing the pickup, the regulations and the recycling are ours to deal with: you leave it at the curb and we take it from there.

  1. What Camden asks for if you use city pickup

These are City of Camden Public Works' requirements, not ours — they apply if you're putting the mattress out for the city rather than booking a pickup with us.

    • Mattresses must be bagged in plastic to be taken by waste management.
    • Trash and recycling containers must be placed in your designated areas the evening prior to pick up.
    • You are permitted up to three (3) bulk (large) items per trash day.
    • Failure to comply with city code for proper disposal is a violation of MC 620-81.
    • On what they won't take at the curb: Waste Management and/or Department of Public Works does not remove construction debris.

  2. Can you take a mattress to the landfill near Camden?

Pennsauken Sanitary Landfill in Pennsauken is the nearest landfill, but its page doesn't say whether it takes mattresses — its gate rate is charged based upon the weight of the waste. Call before you load up. Rental trucks will not be accepted under any circumstances per the nj dep. Either way you need a truck and the drive out to Pennsauken, and a pickup from us is $89 and comes to you.
