Mattress removal in Jersey City, NJ

Booking takes about a minute. Pick your items and a pickup day, put the mattress out that morning, and we'll load it and take it away. Most of our Jersey City pickups are curbside, so there's nothing to wrap and no trip to make.

From there it goes to our local recycling facility, where our team takes it apart by hand. The foam gets baled for carpet padding, the steel springs go to scrap processors, and box-spring wood gets chipped. Here's the whole process if you want to see it.

How it works

  1. Book online.

Pick your items and a pickup day. Takes about a minute, and you see the price before you confirm.

  2. Put it at the curb.

Leave it out on your pickup day. No bagging, no wrapping, no plastic required.

  3. We arrive.

Our team shows up in your window and texts you when they're about thirty minutes out.

  4. We recycle it.

Your mattress goes to our local recycling facility and gets taken apart by hand. You'll get a confirmation once it's done.

Jersey City and New Jersey mattress disposal rules

Booking with us? You can skip this part. Everything below is for handling it yourself — Jersey City's rules, the fees and the drop-off options. If we're doing the pickup, the regulations and the recycling are ours to deal with: you leave it at the curb and we take it from there.

  1. What Jersey City asks for if you use city pickup

These are Division of Sanitation's requirements, not ours — they apply if you're putting the mattress out for the city rather than booking a pickup with us.

    • Mattresses, box springs and all other bedding must be wrapped in plastic prior to placing curbside.
    • Trash is to be placed curbside no earlier than 5:00 PM and no later than 7:00 PM the night before you’re scheduled collection day.
    • Residents are allowed up to four bulk items per collection day.
    • No appointment needed.
    • Bulk items include: furniture, mattresses, Box springs and all other Bedding etc. are on the accepted list, so the mattress itself is not the problem — the booking is.
