Mattress removal in Reynoldsburg, OH

Booking takes about a minute. Pick your items and a pickup day, put the mattress out that morning, and we'll load it and take it away. Most of our Reynoldsburg pickups are curbside, so there's nothing to wrap and no trip to make.

From there it goes to our local recycling facility, where our team takes it apart by hand. The foam gets baled for carpet padding, the steel springs go to scrap processors, and box-spring wood gets chipped. Here's the whole process if you want to see it.

Reynoldsburg and Ohio mattress disposal rules

Booking with us? You can skip this part. Everything below is for handling it yourself — Reynoldsburg's rules, the fees and the drop-off options. If we're doing the pickup, the regulations and the recycling are ours to deal with: you leave it at the curb and we take it from there.

  1. What Reynoldsburg asks for if you use city pickup

These are Local Waste Services' requirements, not ours — they apply if you're putting the mattress out for the city rather than booking a pickup with us.

    • Please note that mattresses and upholstered items must be fully wrapped in plastic. This is an OSHA requirement.
    • Place trash, recycling and yard waste curbside the evening before the designated service day.
    • Please call Local Waste Services 24 hours in advance at 614-409-9375 to schedule a bulk pick up.
    • All trash must be properly contained in either bags or trash cans that are no more than 50 pounds.

  2. Can you take a mattress to the landfill near Reynoldsburg?

Franklin County Sanitary Landfill in Grove City is the nearest landfill, but its page doesn't say whether it takes mattresses — its gate rate is $39.75 per ton (Direct-Haul, In-District Solid Waste). Call before you load up. All trucks and trailer loads must be fully tarped before entering any SWACO disposal facility. Either way you need a truck and the drive out to Grove City, and a pickup from us is $89 and comes to you.
