1. What Bryan asks for if you use city pickup

   • Place items in this location by 7 a.m. (6 a.m. June through August due to the heat) on your scheduled collection day.
   • Where to put it: brush and bulky waste must be placed at least five feet from fixed objects, including buildings, fences, posts, fire hydrants, parked vehicles and utility meters.
   • A maximum of 22 cubic yards or one truck load of materials for each residence are allowed each week.
   • Items may not be placed for collection on a public street, sidewalk or right-of-way.
   • You may place brush and bulky items curbside beginning 48 hours before your scheduled collection day.
   • On what they won't take at the curb: putrescible waste (food waste) and household garbage will not be collected by this service.

2. Can you take a mattress to the landfill near Bryan?

   Twin Oaks Landfill in Anderson is the nearest landfill, but its page doesn't say whether it takes mattresses — its gate rate is Standard Tipping Fee: $32.00 per ton ($3.00 minimum fee) for Municipal Solid Waste (residential and commercial). Call before you load up. All vehicles must be properly covered/secured before entering the facility. Unsecured or inadequately secured loads may be assessed an additional fee of $30.00. Either way you need a truck and the drive out to Anderson, and a pickup from us is $89 and comes to you.
