Mattress removal in Corpus Christi, TX

Booking takes about a minute. Pick your items and a pickup day, put the mattress out that morning, and we'll load it and take it away. Most of our Corpus Christi pickups are curbside, so there's nothing to wrap and no trip to make.

From there it goes to our local recycling facility, where our team takes it apart by hand. The foam gets baled for carpet padding, the steel springs go to scrap processors, and box-spring wood gets chipped. Here's the whole process if you want to see it.

Corpus Christi and Texas mattress disposal rules

Booking with us? You can skip this part. Everything below is for handling it yourself — Corpus Christi's rules, the fees and the drop-off options. If we're doing the pickup, the regulations and the recycling are ours to deal with: you leave it at the curb and we take it from there.

  1. What Corpus Christi asks for if you use city pickup

These are City of Corpus Christi's requirements, not ours — they apply if you're putting the mattress out for the city rather than booking a pickup with us.

    • Separate Heavy Brush items from Bulky Items to prevent contamination and ensure proper handling.
    • Place Heavy Brush and Bulky items near the curb for collection only during authorized set-out periods.
    • Where to put it: items may not be placed in the street, gutter, sidewalk, drainage ditch, or in a side yard that adjoins an arterial or collector street.
    • Customers are limited to ONE truckload of materials during each scheduled Heavy Brush and Bulky collection. An $82.63+tax charge will be applied to your utility bill for each additional load.
    • Residents are responsible for removal and collection fees for illegally dumped material.
    • No pile of brush or bulky items may be greater than 6’ in height, 10’ in length, and 6’ in depth.
    • On what they won't take at the curb: construction materials: lumber, fencing, chain-link fencing, wood pallets, rebar, t-posts, concrete, brick, rocks/stone, dirt and sand, roofing materials.

Haul it to J.C. Elliott Transfer Station

7001 Ayers Street. There is no fee for residential customers paying for City collection services when bringing waste produced at their residence. Sources disagree on this one. The listing above says a $15.50 fee (per load) will be charged if not covered/secured, but the city's Landfill and Collection Centers page says a $15 fee may be charged at the landfill entrance for non-covered loads. Worth a call before you load up. Open Monday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call 361-826-1631 before you load up. Note that a $15.50 fee (per load) will be charged if not covered/secured. You'll need a truck or a van, and you do the loading.
