   • Extra trash bags are not included in Bulky Item collection.

2. Can you take a mattress to the landfill near McKinney?

   You can, but check the price first — it is usually more than a pickup costs. Regional Disposal Facility (RDF; landfill) in Melissa does take mattresses — the first two visits per household per month are provided at no cost to the resident. Trucks or trailers that access roads leading to the landfill or transfer station must possess a tarp or cover to conceal the debris. Either way you need a truck and the drive out to Melissa, and a pickup from us is $89 and comes to you.
