2. Can you take a mattress to the landfill near Pasadena?

   City Landfill in Houston is the nearest landfill, but its page doesn't say whether it takes mattresses. Call before you load up. The total amount of refuse must not exceed the height to the top of a traditional pickup truck frame, and the refuse must be covered with a tarp. Either way you need a truck and the drive out to Houston, and a pickup from us is $89 and comes to you.
