1. What San Antonio asks for if you use city pickup

   These are Solid Waste Management's requirements, not ours — they apply if you're putting the mattress out for the city rather than booking a pickup with us.

   • Even if your garbage is serviced in the alley, your brush or bulky pile must be placed at curbside in front of your house for collection.
   • Your pile should be ready for pickup no later than 7 a.m. on the Monday of your scheduled collection week.
   • Where to put it: piles should be no more than eight cubic yards and placed within eight feet of the curb.
   • If your pile contains brush material, is obstructed, or set out after crews have passed, you could receive a fine of up to $2,000 per day.
   • Customers will be notified of their collection week 7-10 days before collection via a door hanger.
