Mattress removal in Salt Lake City, UT
Booking takes about a minute. Pick your items and a pickup day, put the mattress out that morning, and we'll load it and take it away. Most of our Salt Lake City pickups are curbside, so there's nothing to wrap and no trip to make.
From there it goes to our local recycling facility, where our team takes it apart by hand. The foam gets baled for carpet padding, the steel springs go to scrap processors, and box-spring wood gets chipped. Here's the whole process if you want to see it.

What Salt Lake City asks for if you use city pickup
These are Salt Lake City Waste & Recycling's requirements, not ours — they apply if you're putting the mattress out for the city rather than booking a pickup with us.
- Please keep mattresses clean and dry. Soiled or wet mattresses cannot be recycled but will be landfilled.
- Separate mattresses from the pile, as they are picked up separately.
- Where to put it: the collection pile should be roughly 8 feet wide, 4 feet deep and 4 feet high.
- Two scheduled bulk waste pickups per year are included when you sign up for the City’s residential curbside garbage service (one bulk waste and one green waste).
- You can also report an illegal dumping incident by calling 801-535-6999 (Monday–Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
- If you’re disposing of a large volume of small items, put them in a box or bag, with a maximum weight of 60 pounds.
- On what they won't take at the curb: this includes drywall, plaster, fencing, trim and lumber longer than 5 feet, flooring, and other construction material.
