Mattress removal in Newport News, VA

Booking takes about a minute. Pick your items and a pickup day, put the mattress out that morning, and we'll load it and take it away. Most of our Newport News pickups are curbside, so there's nothing to wrap and no trip to make.

From there it goes to our local recycling facility, where our team takes it apart by hand. The foam gets baled for carpet padding, the steel springs go to scrap processors, and box-spring wood gets chipped. Here's the whole process if you want to see it.

How it works

  1. Book online.

Pick your items and a pickup day. Takes about a minute, and you see the price before you confirm.

  2. Put it at the curb.

Leave it out on your pickup day. No bagging, no wrapping, no plastic required.

  3. We arrive.

Our team shows up in your window and texts you when they're about thirty minutes out.

  4. We recycle it.

Your mattress goes to our local recycling facility and gets taken apart by hand. You'll get a confirmation once it's done.

Newport News and Virginia mattress disposal rules

Booking with us? You can skip this part. Everything below is for handling it yourself — Newport News's rules, the fees and the drop-off options. If we're doing the pickup, the regulations and the recycling are ours to deal with: you leave it at the curb and we take it from there.

  1. What Newport News asks for if you use city pickup

These are City of Newport News' requirements, not ours — they apply if you're putting the mattress out for the city rather than booking a pickup with us.

    • Waste must be generated by the resident and a current Solid Waste User Fee must be assessed on the property.
    • Bulk waste may be set out after 3 PM the day before collection; however, it must be at the curb no later than 7 AM on the designated day of collection.
    • Where to put it: place bulk waste away from vehicles, poles, mail boxes, and other obstructions, adjoining your property.
    • The total allowable volume of bulk that is allowed to be collected at curbside per resident each collection day is a maximum of 6 cubic yards.
    • On what they won't take at the curb: bricks, cinder blocks, rocks, concrete, glass, dirt, sand, sod or drywall.
