Mattress removal in New Berlin, WI

Booking takes about a minute. Pick your items and a pickup day, put the mattress out that morning, and we'll load it and take it away. Most of our New Berlin pickups are curbside, so there's nothing to wrap and no trip to make.

From there it goes to our local recycling facility, where our team takes it apart by hand. The foam gets baled for carpet padding, the steel springs go to scrap processors, and box-spring wood gets chipped. Here's the whole process if you want to see it.

  1. What New Berlin asks for if you use city pickup

These are Johns Disposal Service's requirements, not ours — they apply if you're putting the mattress out for the city rather than booking a pickup with us.

    • All items must weigh no more than 50 lbs and be easily manageable by one person.
    • You may schedule up to 2 bulk items collections per month, with a total of 24 per year.
    • Most municipalities have an ordinance requiring that items not be placed at the curb sooner than 24-hours prior to your scheduled pickup.
    • Their accepted list is bulk items include, but are not limited to: Furniture Carpeting (cut into 4 foot sections rolled and bundled together) Large cardboard boxes (emptied & flattened) Appliances, including those which contain freon — it doesn't name mattresses either way, so ask before you put one out.
    • On what they won't take at the curb: please do not place the following out for bulk: Yard waste Hazardous materials Electronics.
